1978 – Developed ‘Poetry from LOGO’, teaching literacy and computational creativity to children through programming in Logo.

1979 – Designed and coded software for young people to author simple video games

1979 – PhD project: ‘Cognition, Computers and Creative Writing’.  Developed tools for young people to explore language by generating poems, exploring patterns in language  and creating text-based games.
